For years I struggled to find a way to save a reasonable amount to use as “spending money.” Or for anything else, such as a nice vacation or financial investments.
I tried over a dozen methods. In vain!
You know that saying when you can’t find a way, make one up…so did I.
I can’t swear that someone else didn’t make it up before me somewhere in this wide world. But it does not matter! What matters is that it works for me.
The recipe is very simple; it has only 3 steps:
- A jar is taken;
- The amount of money that corresponds to the date is put in the jar every day (1 $ is put on the 1st, and 2$ is put on the 2nd, 30$ is put on the 30th) — the following month, the process starts again from 1$;
- The accumulated amount is “broken.”
- If you choose the ratio of 1$, in one year, you collect 5738$, which you would otherwise give away.
In leap years, you have 29$ more. You are a little richer!
